TAS5707: How to set TAS5707 that 2 loudspeakers can have same sound source

Dear All,

         project:loudspeaker  box

         The box need  take reference signal horn to do echo cancellation.  Our hardware only collected data of a trumpet.Speakers (R).  This may be caused by LL speakers, the data can't catch.

         Early is hardware compatibility  caused these problems.So if there is a way can be realized, two speakers sound source is consistent, whether 5707 can be configured to it?

    智能音箱项目中,两个喇叭通过桥式接法接,目前是一个喇叭出左声道,一个喇叭出右声道;因为需要取喇叭参考信号做回声消除,硬 件上只采集了一个喇叭的数据(R声道喇叭);这样可能就造成L声道喇叭数据抓不到。
    前期是硬件兼容原因引起这些问题。
    是否可以让两个喇叭出来的声源是一致的,
    单独喇叭左右声道都可以输出呢?TAS5707是否可以配置成这样?

    Please let me describe your question again. TAS5707 is used in BTL mode, and you want to output R channel data in I2S input source on both channels/speakers, right?
    Unfortunately, TAS5707 is a very old device and has very limited resource in the process flow, so this feature is not supported. Please consider TAS5711 or TAS5731M, which support this application. (R+L)/2 data can be outputed on both L and R channel/speaker. Please find more info in another E2E post. e2e.ti.com/.../632335

    And TAS5707 can support “ PARALLEL BRIDGE TIED LOAD ”?

  • Hi Cris,

    TAS5707 supports PBTL mode but not signle fitler PBTL mode, so you have to parallel the output after the LC filters.

    The pin definition on TAS5711/TAS5731M is very similar with TAS5707. So it's possible to substitute with the newer devices. Please pay attention to Pin8 and Pin14, they have the different usage.
