TAS6424-Q1: work in 24V battery power system

Part Number: TAS6424-Q1

Hi, Team

My car infotainment customer kick off a infotainment project for truck with 24V battery power. End customer require 45W * 4 output power. As space is limited, TAS6424-Q1 is suitable. When the truck engine is on, the battery voltage will go up to 27.2V, which may trigger the over voltage protection of TAS6424-Q1.

Is there any method to modify the OV threshold or turn off the OV projection?

Is TAS6424-Q1 ssuitable in the 24V battery power system?

Thanks

  • Hello Kevin! We cannot exceed the datasheet specs, or bypass shutdown protections without violating the spec, which means we cannot guarantee the device if operated this way. You can as an option power the device off of a buffering DC/DC supply that sits on the battery. We do have a roadmap device offering higher voltages, but that will not ample until next year. Thanks, Jeff
