Luckily, we designed this project to seamlessly mate up with low-voltage devices like OMAP35x!
If you look at page 4 of the data sheet, in the "Recommended Operating Conditions" table, you will see the VIH and VIL of the SDA and SCL terminals have been specified at 1.3V and 0.6V.

Hi Don,
1.3v is min and will that be sufficient for I2c Handling? We have tested several boards with this level and found I2c response from the device is inconsistent.
That is why , we had placed the level shifter, along with this, in case of issues in the device and vdd gets short with Ios, then Whole VDD will pump on to 65930 and may damage the device as well. once 65930 misbehaves then what will happen to Omap?
