PGA2311: PGA2311 Digital and Analog Ground Coupling

Hi to all!

I am studying datasheet of PGA2311 Stereo Volume Controller and in Chapter 10 (Figure 15) there is recommended PCB layout. I've noticed digital and analog ground are tied together in single point. Now, place jumper between digital and analog coupling point, some other element or I can just connect them with wire?

Hi MarkoSiroki,

The analog and digital grounds should be connected at a single point on the pcb in such a way that any loops formed by analog or digital signals don't cross the split between the planes. This could be accomplished in the PCB layout, or with a physical jumper (either a wire jumper or 0 ohm resistor). Is this 0 Ohm resistor ok for such task?
