Problem:
Can the bypass capacitor on pin 3 of the TPA1517 device (see datasheet figure 25) have a different value? 

 

 

 
Solution:
Yes, the bypass capacitor value can change. Note that there is no minimum or maximum value for this capacitor. The bigger the capacitor then there is a slower start-up time. With a smaller capacitor there is a faster start-up time, but increased noise and pop. If the capacitor is placed very close to pin 3 then a 2.2uF capacitor will be sufficient.
