Q: DRV601 vs DRV603 design/layout differences
Customer is looking at the design / layout differences between the DRV601 and DRV603.
How much changes are required from design and layouts? DRV603 is differential inputs and it is different from DRV601. Also, cost will be another concerns if any cost adder. Thanks.A: Re: DRV601 vs DRV603 design/layout differences
If the DRV603 is used in single ended configuration, the part count would be about the same. In terms of trace layout, the 603 has a slight advantage since it has less pins than the 601.
The main difference between the two IC's is the UVP feature in the 603, which can be ignored by connecting this pin to VDD. Doing this will make the part counts the same.
