INA219 Current spec

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA219

Current / Power Monitor with I2C Interface IC spec (P / N: INA219) have related questions, please.
1. Senses bus voltage up to 26V that is hayeotneunde Configuration Register setting to one of the BRNG
Bus voltage up to 32V, make sure to ask for confirmation.
2. INA219 IC would like to know the Current Measuring Range.
Bus Voltage 0 ~ 24V / 0 ~ 30A trying to measure.
Bus voltage check on the datasheet, but is not listed in the Range Current contact you think.

If you have any questions, please reply.
Thank you.

  • Kim,

Thank you for using the INA219!

    1. Yes, to measure bus voltages up to 26V, use BRNG=32V.

    2. To measure 30A, you can select a shunt resistor appropriate to the PGA you use. For instance, 30A * 1mOhm = 30mV, which would fit nicely into PGA=1 with a maximum of 40mV input.  Using 10mOhm and 30A, you would have a maximum of 300mV, which would need PGA=8 that supports up to 320mV input.

Let me know how else I can help!
