Hi Team,

Our customer is looking for a voltage and current monitor solution for 240VAC and 250VDC.They requires reinforced isolation (6kV) between the primary and the secondary side.

What would be the best solution for this voltage and  current monitoring ? Customer prefers I2C interface.

For DC, I believe you could monitor voltage by dividing with resistors and current by using INAxxxx devices, but how would you monitor AC voltage and current ?

For isolating device, I could only find ISO7310 for reinforced isolation (6kV). AMC1203 seems to fit the requirements except for 6kV isolation and I2C interface.

    Hello,

    I think you will need a current shunt monitor into an isolation amplifier with I2C.  An INA149 into an AMC1305x would give a 6kv isolation and +/-250V but would need to be converted to I2C.  What in the signal chain needs the 6kV isolation?  Can you send a schematic of the application in email? jw@ti.com
