leakage current of INA200-Q1 in Pin Vin+ and Vin-

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA200-Q1, INA200

What is the leakage current of INA200-Q1 from Pin Vin+ and Vin- with 16V connect to them when no power connect to pin1 V+?

  • Hello,Let me look into this and get back to you.
  • Hello Biao,

Testing the INA200-Q1 with the settings you mentioned appears to generate no leakage current in the order of μA. Does this answer your question? If not, to be able to better assist you, we will need more information about your setup.

    • What are the voltages on every pin of the INA200-Q1 when you observe your leakage current?
    • How much leakage current you are observing?

Any apparent leakage could be generated from elements of your setup outside of the INA200-Q1, so any additional information you could provide about your setup would be very helpful. For example, if you are using a voltage regulator to supply power to V+, it may not be completely off when you think it is, causing the INA200 to partially turn on.

  • HI Kareem,

I did not test the INA200-Q1 yet. I did the worst case analysis for a ECU leakage current. In the design, INA200-Q1 Vin+/- connect to vehicle battery permanently. when the ECU power off, All pins except Vin+/- are 0V. We have to calculate the leakage current from battery to GND. So I need to know what is the current go through from Vin+/- pin during all other pins voltage are 0V. Look like you answer my question. Please confirm.

    Thanks

  • Hey Biao,

Just to confirm, using your setup there is no leakage current on the order of μA.

  • Thanks! I will test ECU when it is available soon.
