I would like to investigate the DRV421 for a custom current sensor for ground fault detection. The datasheet and app-notes mention this application but few details are given. Is there anyone I can talk to about the selection of the magnetic material and shape that would be used with this sensor? I have seen the reference design and design guide. There is no drawing or datasheet available on the Sumida part through Sumida's website. There is a great calculator included with the TI technical documents that I can use to calculate the sensor response but I did not find any guidelines on the core.

Hi Adam,

We have a third app note in the works regarding the core design for the DRV421. In general though, the core can be practically any shape. We have used both laminate and ferrite (i.e. Sumida) cores with the DRV421. If it's OK to contact you through your my.TI profile, I'll send you some details.

Hi Javier,
We are still interested in DRV421. I found 2 more TI reference designs available for DRV421 in these months, both of them using newly introduced Sumida module SC3113. But I still can't find SC2912 and SC3113 in Sumida website. Could you please provide more info about them and do you know how to purchase them?
