INA225-Q1 Output Load

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA225-Q1, TINA-TI

Hello,

TINA-TI simulation results show INA225-Q1's slow edge rate of about 2 V / 25 µs when a resistive load of 1 kΩ is put on its output (OUT pin). Does it suggest it's not a good idea to add an RC LPF with 1-kΩ resistor to INA225-Q1's OUT when the PWM signal frequency is 20 kHz?

What do you recommend to filter a noise out from the PWM signal if that's not a good idea?

Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota

  • Dear Shinichi,

Could you send us your schematic or TINA setup as to the load beyond the LPF? Also, you mention PWM, are you attempting to measure in line to the load? Please provide us more information and we will recommend some options once we have a better picture of your design.

  • Shinichi,

if the time constant of the LPF is longer than 25 us (ramp-up/-down rate with a resistive load of 1 kOhm) (lower cutoff frequency than nearly 6.4 kHz), in this case, the customer doesn’t need to care about the 1-kOhm resistor of the LPF.

Let us know if you need anything else.
