[ LMP8278Q-Q1 ] about Abs Max Different input Voltage spec

Hi Team

I know that LMPxxxx series has quite higher Abs Max Different Input voltage,

so that normal we don't mention it in datasheet.

I saw the Abs max common mode input range of -12V ~ 50V,

BTW,, may I know the Abs Max Different input Voltage between (+IN) pin and (-IN) pin ?

the info is necessary to check the H/W design margin.

thanks.

  • Dear Paul,

the continuous input voltage specified is not common mode voltage, but in fact the maximum voltage that can be seen at either pin before causing damage, i.e., a summation of both common mode and differential mode voltages. You'll need to evaluate what common mode you plan to operate at, and then you can calculate the remaining margin for your differential mode signal, although we would recommend keeping it small for the purposes of power dissipation across the shunt. Hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Carolus
