    Hi Shlomi,

    Not knowing what exactly you are trying to accomplish, and what the conditions are, here are some general thoughts.

    If you care about the magnitude of the peak current, INA219 will get you there. What I would think about though is if the speed is sufficient to satisfy your requirement. Conversion and communication both take time. If you are trying to catch a narrow peak, or quickly act based on an over current condition, it may not be fast enough.

    If you don’t care about the magnitude of the peak current, then a current shunt monitor with comparator, such as INA301, is probably a better choice.
