INA282: Measurement of voltage and current

Hello,

I need to measure the voltage from 2S (7.4V) up to 6S (22.2V) LiPO batteries.

I have seen the INA282 but I am not sure if I use that or there are any alternatives that can serve my requirements and can be cheaper.

I also need to measure the current, 120A~160A typical and 200A max. Is there any IT component that can serve me?

I have seen the INA226 which is more accurate and 36V is enough for me.

I am going to use it with lipo batteries, I comment it in case there is any difference with respect to other types of batteries. To charge them I know that it is necessary to balance them but to monitor their voltage and current I have no idea.

In case it helps for something, I am thinking of using this design for the power supply. With the LM25119

Hi Javier,

I have a few concerns about your application. To monitor these high currents you will need high power/low resistances shunt resistors. These resistors can be very costly.

What is driving your decision on the device selection? What is the highest VCM in the application (22.2V?) ? Are you looking for analog or digital output devices?

Yes, from 2S(7.4) up 6S (22.2V) .

Analog, but if digital it is more precise, and is not much more expensive, digital.

For typical use with 4 x 30A ESC (120A). But I want to support up to 4 x 45A ESC (180A). Or 4 x 50A if possible but I need at least 5A to the core and external devices (ARM M4F, gyro, accel, compass, Video Camera, PPM-SBUS receiver, GPS, Radio XBee, NB868-500mw, etc..).
