INA300: Question of INA300 LATCH Mode

Part Number: INA300

Hi Sirs,

Customer's software sometimes forget to pull the INA300's LATCH pin to high, while the INA300 still de-asserts the ALERT# back to high after over current event. Besides to deassert LATCH from high to low, would you pls advise if the INA300 can deassert the ALERT# from low from high in latch mode?

Thank you and Best regards,

Wayne Chen

  • Hi Chen,

Thank you for using the E2E forums.

Under latched mode (latch pin = high) the state of the ALERT terminal is toggled and maintained low on detection of an overcurrent.

If you wish it to be automatically de-assert the latch pin once the overcurrent event is gone, the device needs to be placed in transparent mode, (latch pin = low)
