INA250EVM: Blow up the IC

Part Number: INA250EVM

I got INA250EVM board.

I set up to measure the current of LED ,24V at 200ma.

The power pin VS  of INA250A4 keep blow out.

VS = 24VDc,

Ref at GND

The set up basically as demo board shows.

   The EVM measure the current go to LED at high side and I read at output by DMM.

Thanks for help

  • Hi Vung Vo,

    Did the device got physically damaged or was just the pin functionality that was impaired?

    I would need a few more details to understand what happened and how you have your setup configured.

    • Can you provide us with a schematic showing your complete setup?
    • Was the power supply in use isolated?
    • Was any other equipment such as an oscilloscope being used?
    • What happens if you power the LED separately?
    • What's the OC (open circuit) voltage of the LED driver? Does that exceed the INA 250 ratings?
