INA193A-Q1: Distribution Plot of Total Output Error

Dear, Sir.

My customer is considering to apply INA193A-Q1 for their system.

The total output error is deined on the datasheet as full range max. +- 3%.

They are requesting the distribution plot of the total output error under -40 geg.C ~ +85 deg.C

to suppose the real performance.

Sorry to ask about this kind of matter, but hoping to provide it if possible.

    I will look into what we have available and get back to you as soon as possible.

    Just to be clear. You are looking for a plot similar to the one you have posted, but for the INA193? Is the Y-Axis = Total Error %?

    Also are you looking for data when the device is exposed to a temperature less than -40 degC? Or when the temperature is in between -40 and +85 degC?

    Thank you so much for your support and sorry for my poor explanation. 

    I am looking for the similar as attached on my previous mail. 

    For instance, X-axis = Total output error, Y-axis = percentage or population. 

    Regarding the temperature, I suppose the data under 3 temp, -40 deg.C/Room/85 deg.C

    are enough. 

    I think INA193A-Q1 has an tendency of lower accuracy under VSENSE = 0 to 20mV. 

    So, the data under VSENSE > 20mV is no problem.

    I have not been able to find distribution data that you requested on this part for Vsense > 20mV or < 20mV as this part is quite old. Also, when Vsense < 20mV, the device’s error is not constant anymore and thus characterizing total error for the Vsense range becomes impractical. However, we do characterize error bounds for these ranges.

     

    Performance for Vsense < 20mV is documented in the datasheet and this performance is dictated by your customer's Vcm (common-mode voltage). The datasheet shows that as your Vsense approaches 0mV, the error will be dominated by the offset of the part. This results in a Vout maximum peak at which point the Vout cannot go any lower.

     


     


     

    We test the parts such that their maximum peaks do not exceed specified voltage levels. For the INA193, we ensure that the Vout does not exceed 0.4V for (0V<= Vcm <= 5V) or 0.3V for Vcm in the other ranges.
