I need to get new meters for my bence psu.   the voltage has a min/ max of 1.8 to 15 volts DC. amp i need to measure are from .020 to about 1 to 1.5amps. I thought it

may be fun to build my own w/ a pic16f866 to a 4digit 7seg display. I was looking at using a INA226 current shunt monitor instead of op-amps. and i'd also learn the I2C.would these work. ?

thanks

The INA226EVM is a good starting point for learning how the device works.  It will show you how the registers can be used to scale the ranges.  Wikipedia gives a great description of I2C.
