Initial accuracy in Load condition of REF3030

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: REF3030

Hi all,

I would like to know initial accuracy in Load condition and drop voltage when load current flow more than 25mA

Please refer to the following specification.

Input voltage: 3.1~3.2V

load current: several mA

Could you answer the question as soon as possible?

Thank you for warm support in advance.

  • Hello Saemyi,

We are looking into this inquiry and will respond shortly.

  • Hi, the accuracy with load condition is shown in the datasheet, page 5, "OUTPUT VOLTAGE vs LOAD CURRENT"

The drop voltage can be found on the cover page, “DROPOUT VOLTAGE vs LOAD CURRENT”

The maximum specified load current is 25mA, therefore it is not recommended to use the REF3030 above 25mA.  Furthermore, as shown in the fourth image on Page 4 of the datasheet the maximum output current decreases as the temperature decreases below 0C.  We are not able to guarantee or provide guidance on any performance specifications when using the device outside of the recommended operating conditions and you should advise your customer against doing so.

Based on the “Dropout Voltage vs. Load Current” figure, it can be seen that with a 3.1V supply the maximum output current while still properly regulating is 10mA.  In the range of 0-10mA the output voltage can range from 2.499935-2.5v, assuming the output was initially at 2.5V with 0mA output current.
