ISO124 single power supply.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO124

Hi everyone.

Here is the testing condition.

+VS1=12V,GND1 connect to -VS1.

+VS2=12V,GND2 connect to -VS2.

And what I input to Vin is a 2.5V DC offset  with 200mV(1kHz)  sinusoidal wave.

However, the Vout is pull high and it seem that Vout regardless of Vin, even though I pull down the Vin to GND1, the Vout still high.

I had changed another ISO124, but it still can't work. So i think the circuit configuration might be wrong.

Does anyone have some strategy for it?

thx a lot.

  • Hello Freddie Li,

I think the problem has to do with your connection of GND1 connect to -VS1 and GND2 to -VS2. For the input signal mentioned in your post, you will need to provide a voltage to the -VS1 terminal that is at least 2.7 V below GND1. The same applies to -VS2.

If you only have single supplies, you can use an approach similar to that depicted in figure 10 of the ISO124 datasheet.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Jose

  • Hi Jose

    Thank you so much.

    I'll try it later.   :D

    Best regards,

    Freddie.
