Hello,

I have question about OPA561 input shutdown voltage of the absolute maximum ratings

(1) Meaning
Could you please let me know the the meaning of "Input Shutdown Voltage" ?
Is this  Absolute Maximum Ratings for E/S pin?

(2) Range
Is  the voltage range of  (V−) −0.4V to (V−) + 0.5V is correct?
I think that this is typo of (V−) −0.4V to (V+) + 0.5V.

    Asaka-san,

    The Absolute Maximum Ratings specification, Input Shutdown Voltage, is supposed to indicate the safe input range for the E/S pin. The (V-) -0.4 V on the low end makes sense, but the (V-) + 0.5 V for the high end doesn't. The Electrical Specifications Table lists an E/S pin range of (V−) - 0.4 to (V−) + 5, listed from the lowest minimum to the highest maximum. The pin has to be able to allow the required high level and this appears correct.

    I suspected this was a typo and did some searching through our archives. I found the original OPA561 data sheet from December 2001. It lists the Input Shutdown Voltage as (V-) -0.4 V to (V-) + 5V. That agrees with the range in the Electrical Specificaitons Table. It appears the deimal point was incorrectly included in a later revision.
