Some time ago I asked concerning TL072. I need to use it is single supply operation with supply 35V. You reported that, if I need more voltage, then I can use TLE2022A-EP (up to 40V) . Yes, 37V it is better for me. There is TLE2022AMD in Farnell catalog. Please, report, can I use TLE2022AMD with single supply 37V?

    Yes, the TLE2022 can be used with a single supply up to 40 V, providing the input common-mode and output swing range are observed. Instead of them being referenced to zero volts, they will now be referenced to 20 V, or half of your supply voltage.

  • You mean that 20V for Op Ampl in single supply (up to 40V) will be as zero in dual supply operation (+/- 20V)?
  • Hi Vlad,

    When an operational amplifier is operated with dual supplies such as +/-15 V, or other equal supply levels, the input signal and ouput signals are referenced to 0V; the mid-supply voltage. When that same amplifier is powered by a single supply, the mid-supply voltage moves up to half the supply level. If the TLE2022 is powered by +40 V the mid-supply level moves up to +20 V. A signal source at the input of the amplifier would usually ride on a +20 V common-mode voltage to be at the mid-supply level. The output would then swing plus and minus, about this +20 V level.

    The TLE2022 has a common-mode input voltage range that extends down to 0 V, so the input can be as low as 0 V when the supply is +40 V. The output has a limited swing range and Vol looks like it will limit within 700, or 800 mV of the negative supply rail; or, 700 to 800 mV above 0 V in this case. Therefore, the circuit you have shown in TINA will only start operating linearly once the output moves above 700 to 800 mV.
