LMP7300: What will happen if VIH/VIL voltage level is above INN?

Part Number: LMP7300

Hi,

In the datasheet, we see INN tied to Vref and HYSTP & HYSTN tied to voltage below Vref to set the VIH & VIL. What will happen if HYSTP or HYSTN tied to voltage above INN?

Thanks.

  • Hello Yee,

It may oscillate under certain combinations.

Setting the voltage above the reference voltage moves the trip points "past" each other in the hysteresis loop graph:

So don't do it! The inputs are designed to be less than the reference voltage.

    Regards,
