TLV3011: max voltage on IN+ when VDD is 0

Will the TLV3011 be damaged if there is voltage on IN+ before VDD comes up? My customer has a voltage divider on a 28V supply that hits IN+ before the supply rail for the part is enabled (about 1.5ms difference). The voltage divider is 150k ohms to the 28V rail and 15k to GND.

Hi Dan,

The current injected into the input before VDD is up would be limited to 28V/150k = 180uA for 1.5ms. This 180uA current should not cause harm to the input ESD protection diode (forward biased before VDD is up). Therefore the operation is safe and should cause no damage to the device.
