OPA564: OPA564 Maximum Output Power Issue

Part Number: OPA564

Hi Team,

I am promoting OPA564 in middle-voltage Power line communication market. And I noted that this part have 20Vpp at 1.5A output capability shown in datasheet.

But as my lab testing, OPA564 can easily went into thermal shutdown even at around 20Vpp@300mA condition, scopeshot shown as below. I know we need a very good heat dissipation PCB design to achieve 20Vpp@1.5A output.

So could you help on below support needed:

Support needed:

[1] do we have PCB reference design if we want to use single OPA564 to output 20Vpp@1.5A? customer PCB shown as attached.

[2] if we want to use 2 pieces of OPA564 in parallel to achieve 20Vpp@1.5A , do we have any reference design (schematic and PCB)?

Figure one.   Chanel one as output voltage, Chanel four as output current

Figure two.   Chanel one as Tflag pin voltage , Chanel four as output current, we can see OPA564 regularly went into thermal shutdown.

Best,

Luke
