TLV3501A-Q1: About the drift of propagation delay

Hi team,

Our customer is looking for low drift of propagation delay comparator.

I think TLV3501A-Q1 looks good for them because the propagation delay is small.

As I see in figures 3 and 4 of the datasheet, the drift of propagation drift seems to be small.

I think that this data is representative value, how much is the maximum drift?

In addition, the drift of fall is smaller than rise in the datasheet graph.

Why is fall drift so smaller than rise?

Hi Tomoaki,

The max propagation delay over temperature can be found in section 7.6 of the datasheet. The maximum propagation delay at 20mV overdrive and T = 25C is 6.4ns, while the maximum propagation delay over the temperature range of -40C to +125C is 7ns.

Yes, it is expected the drift of the rise and fall propagation delays will not be the same. This is due to the differences in the sizing and impedance of the output stage transistors.

I understood maximum propagation delay and the reason of difference in rise and fall drift.

Is there data on drift ample variation?

Because our customer need for the product of small drift, we want to present quantitatively that the drift is small.
