TLV6710: Output A or B drive PMOS

Part Number: TLV6710

Hi Sir

May I use outA or outB to drive a PMOS directly to do power path function ?

Or need to add a external NMOS to drive PMOS ?

  • Hello Kai,

    What is your supply voltage?

Unfortunately, it looks like there is a typo in the front page drawing. The output can only be pulled-up to 25V, not 36V. I will have to get that fixed ASAP!

The supply can be up to 36V, but the output can only be pulled-up to 25V. So if your supply voltage is lower than 25V, you may use the circuit as shown.

Just be aware of the VGS max of the MOSFET. If the MOSFET VGS max is lower than your supply voltage, you can connect the 100k pull-up resistor directly to the gate to form a voltage divider with the 100k current limiting resistor.
