[FAQ] Where can I learn about current sensing techniques, product selection and achievable accuracy?

I would like to measure current but I don't know where to start - how do I choose the right current sense amplifier or current shunt monitor with integrated data converter?  What kind of accuracy can I achieve?  Please help me to understand!
