LMP8358: About LMP8358 replace LMP8100 question.

Can you please elaborate on what you need and why you do not feel the LMP8358 is sufficient? More bandwidth does not necessarily make a part better, it really depends on how you intend to use it. Since we do not have the device that you were previously using I would like to understand what led you to choose the LMP8100 so we can figure out what else might work.

Hi Zak,
Another consideration is gain programmable.
The LMP8100 programmable gain amplifier features an adjustable gain from 1 to 16 V/V in 1 V/V increments,
but the LMP8358 gain can be programmed to 10,20, 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000.
LMP8100 tunability is better than LMP8358 in my product application.

Hi Wu,

Have you considered PGA2500, PGA2505, or PGA2311 for this application? All are audio PGAs with gain steps of 3dB or less, and would offer sufficient bandwidth for audio signals in a conferencing application.
