Hello,
Are you able to help me with figuring out what the IDR stands for in this part number ? Not sure if i am overlooking it, but doesn't seem to mention it in the datasheet.

Hello Robert,
The IDR stands for the packaging type of the BUF634A. In this case, the BUF634A is offered in the SOIC-8 pin package: I is kind of like a separating character, D stands for the packaging name SOIC-8, R is for tape and reel. A good example that shows a lot of the packaging names is the OPA2836 which can be found at this link. Also, I found a good application report which goes into the semiconductor packaging methodology more in depth linked here.
Thank you,
Sima
