For redesign an old board, customer is looking to to replace below old amp. with neweer/improved preformances device:

1. LM6172. I saw recomendation for LMH6655. Any other solution

2. MAX4180. Profered with integrated resistor,need low power ,+-5V

    Eli,

    1. LM6172 has a wide supply voltage range (up to 36V) and super high slew rate (3000 V/us) for a voltage feedback device. There are probably several possibilities open if you don't need the large supply voltage / range. If you send me a list of the most important parameters and package types, I can do a search for you for the best replacement.

    2. When you say "with integrated resistor", do you mean something like the LMH6704? Again, a list of the most important specs can help find the best replacement.

    Thanks,

    Hooman

    Hi Eli,

The closest parts to MAX4180 would be LMH6723 and LMH6618 (SOT23 package).

LMH6618 has shutdown (like MAX4180) but it is slower and has lower slew rate as well. LMH6723 does not have shutdown but has higher speed at about the same power.

    Thanks,

    Hooman

    Eli,

You may want to look as well at the OPA683IDBV, similar bandwidth and slew rate available in SOT-23-6 with disable pin (0.94mA Iq)

    http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/opa683.pdf

Another device that is pin compatible, but voltage feedback amplifier on 1.1mA Iq is the OPA890IDBV. http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/opa890.pdf

    Regards,

    Xavier

    Best Regards,

    Xavier
