Hello,

We see that the THS4520 out can go to negative voltage but we simulate only with +5v and GND...

Simulate with Tina.

    Hello Moshe,

On a 0V to 5V supply, the THS4520 output is limited to 0.25V to 4.75V typical. The output can get a little closer to the rails, but it can't go below or above the rails.

Keep in mind, the differential output voltage can be negative because it is a mathematical expression (Vout_diff = Vout+ - Vout-). If Vout- is larger than Vout+, the differential voltage will be negative, but each output can only swing about 0.25V away from each rail.

If there is something else going on, you can upload your TINA schematic we can take a look.

    Regards,
    Luke

    Hello Luka,

We use the THS4520 test Circuits.

If you test and run it with VEE=0v and Vcc=+5v you will see that the output (refer to GND, not diff) can go to -1v or lower than the Vee...

This is great opamp with internal negative power supply?  :)

    Moshe,

There is no internal negative supply for the THS4520. Remember that there is a passive path from input to output. What is your input voltage? Also, what voltage are you applying to the Vocm pin? If you upload your TINA schematic, that would be helpful.

    Hi All,

The THS4520 Macromodel shows output swing to be confined to the supply rails (as it should). Using the attached Test Circuit built in TINA with 5V single supply (Vocm= 2.5V), each output swings from 0.25V to 4.75V (again, as it should). In the image below, VP_8 and VP_10 are the outputs. I don't see swing below ground!

    Thanks,

    Hooman
