APD saturation recovery

Hi, I am designing an APD amplifier circuit. I have APD intefaced with TIA. I have seen that when a strong pulse is detected, APD is saturated and discharge time is very long compared to the pulse. How can I disgharge APD quickly?

i am having a similar problem, when i asked my photo diode vendor he said, it dependent on the series resistor i use to the TIA, i did not understand his answer please help me how to handle or reduce the recover time from saturation in case of APD's

Daram, You can add a series resistor between the APD and the amplifiers inverting input to limit the current through the APD. This will prevent the APD from saturating. You will have to play with the resistor value based on the APD.
