What is the best way to change the gain of the amplifier?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F2811, OPA365

I have 2 signals between  -1,1 and -30,30. The frequency of the signal is 2 and 5 Mhz. I would like to use OPA365 combined with tms320f2811. What is the best way to change the gain of the amplifier?

  • Hi Robert,

The TMS320 has multiple ADC inputs, so you can set up a channel for each input signal.  The OPA365 has an absolute maximum supply voltage of 5.5V, so a passive attenuator will be required for the -30V to 30V signal.  If  you set up the attenuator to attenuate the +-30V signal to +-1V you can use the same gain for both signals.
