THS7374 bypass issu

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: THS7374

Hi

I have use THS7374 , I have find a issue from bypass mode.

When I setting bypass pin on High ( use filter ) , The RGB signal Vlow = 0mV

but when I setting bypass pin on low (bypass mode) , The RGB signal Vlow = 100mV

Why does it have this difference?

  • Hi Chang,

The bypass pin specification for THS7374 is the other way around with logic high on the bypass pin put the channels in bypass mode, while logic low put the channels in filter mode.

Is the RGB signal Vlow = 100mV in bypass mode? and is it a DC signal?

Also, Is it possible for you to attach schematic of your circuit as well as oscilloscope plots of the RGB signals? Also, while measuring the RGB outputs please make sure that there are no signals applied to the channel inputs.

I am wondering that the signal which you are seeing is an ac signal as higher frequency components will pass in bypass mode, whichh will otherwise be attenuated in internal filter mode. Please refer to Figure 12 of the THS7374 datasheet for the cut-off frequency of the channels in filter mode and bypass mode.

    Best Regards,

    Rohit
