Hello Technocrats !

I am looking for Digital controlled variable gain amplifier for 16-bit ADC ADS42LB69IRGCT. One such amplifier device I found is LMH6517, which is a low power, low noise IF and baseband dual 16-bit ADC driver with digital controlled gain.

I found the "AN-2081 LMH6517EVAL-R1 Evaluation Board" very impressive and solving my purpose. Due to some official commitments I am facing difficulties in directly buying the Evaluation Board : LMH6517EVAL-R1/NOPB. I am in a great need of the Schematic, BOQ & PCB data (Gerber) for this LMH6517EVAL-R1/NOPB evaluation board.

If anybody is having any such information on this Evaluation Board, then it will be a great help. Once I'll demonstrate the board capability to my authority, then I'll get its mass production clearance (more than 28 such boards).

Looking forward to get fruitful reply from this TI community.

Thanks for the Gerber. But unfortunately the zip file is showing errors during extraction and showing that some files contains error.

Dear Rohit Sir,

I am finding the following difficulties in the provided Gerber:

1. PCB thickness-?
2. Copper thickness-?
3. Surface finish Tin Lead / ENIG -?
4. Since currently we don't have material FR4-06. Shall we can go ahead with FR4 High Tg 180.
6. 4-Layer in fab drawing 6th point is not understood.

Hello Kumar,

Our typical EVM thickness is 0.063" the copper thickness is usually 1 or 2 ounce on the top layer and 1/2 ounce in the inner layers and we now use ENIG for all of our boards. Any of the FR4 series dielectrics is fine, but you will need to confirm the trace impedance is 50 Ohms with your vendor. Only the top layer, with the signal traces needs to be controlled impedance. The other layers are power, ground and digital signals and these layers do not need controlled impedance.

I have forwarded your questions to our board designer to get answers for the rest.

6. 4-Layer in fab drawing 6th point is not understood. Pads in components (such as C14, C37, U1) which have via in pad will tend to suck solder away from the part when soldered. Therefore the vias under parts with via in pads could be plated shut if there is a concern with poor solder joint connection.
