Hello Sir/Madam,
We are using THS4302 wideband amplifier for one of our project which is similar to cable extender application. We selected this part no based on TINA TI simulation. We followed the same schematic used in TINA TI simulation.
In TINA Simulation, We are giving differential input to two THS4302 and providing -5V for negative supply terminal to get the adequate voltage swing and response. For simulation we are using -5V source from tool and We are using TL7660 for -5V supply in the board.
We are using two THS4302 in our board and giving 2 differential signal from FPGA LVDS output to THS4302 input. Now we are in the board bring up stage. We are facing two issues in this stage;
1. When we are powering up the board and connecting the -5V supply to THS4302, the voltage drops from -5V to -1V abruptly. At the same time, we are not getting any signal at the output of THS4302.
2. When we powering up -5V through external DC supply to two THS4302, it draws an current of ~500mA. But the IC is heating up.
we request you to provide the solution for the above two issues we are facing.
