Can opa695 work with +/-3V supply voltage with no performance degration?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA695

"no minimium value can be found in the data sheet, except typical +/-5V. In my design, the output is +/-1Vp. in order to reduce power dissipation, low supply voltage is desired."

  • Hello Rongjin,

The OPA695 can work with +/-3V supply, however with some performance degradation in BW and harmonic distortion. The minimum recommended supply for this part is roughly +/-2V or single 4V. I have shown a typical plot of small signal BW with supply voltage for Av = +8V/V. Even though the plot below is for single-supply voltage, it is also applicable for split supplies (+/-).

I would think, however, that if the output is limited to +/-1Vpp, you should be able to work with +/-3V supplies to save some power.

    Best Regards,

    Rohit
