Hello Daniel,

I don't have device specific information yet, but a very similar part in the same package has a Theta JC of 80 Degrees C/ W.

Hi Loren -

The customer is open to using a heat sink, it just depends on the Theta-JC value. I know that you mentioned 80deg C/W for a similar part, any idea if we can expect the same for this part?

Hi Daniel,

Yes, it should be similar. For this package the pins are the best way to remove heat. Using solid power planes and a good connection to the supply pins will help to pull heat into the PCB. The signal traces can also be made fairly fat and still keep a 50 Ohm impedance.
