LMH6611: workaround about pre-bias condition

Part Number: LMH6611

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering LMH6611.

He is encountering prebias condition before power up.

Could you please advise?

---question

Before LMH6611 power up to 5V, 1.8V is power up, so 0.9V is adding to Vout.

The current is limited by 1kohm resistor.

Could you please see schematic below.

(1) Is this way appropriate?

(2)If question (1) is good, about 1kohm resistor, could you please advise mimimum and maximum value?

---

I appreciate your great help.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi,

    To answer your questions:
    1. The circuit should be okay. The 0.9V generated by the voltage division is blocked by the ac coupling cap between the Vout and 1kohm voltage division. So, it does not really affect the Vout of the LMH6611 from a DC stand-point.
    2. You could increase the 1kohm resistors to either 5kohm or 10kohm such that there is minimal impact due to voltage division on the LMH6611 ac coupled output.

  • Hi Rohit,

    Thank you for your reply.

I understand the curcuit is no problem and resistance value is recommended 5k -10k.

I'll send your feedback to the customer.

    i appreciate your great help.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi
