OPA2365-Q1: About OPA2365-Q 1 accuracy

Part Number: OPA2365-Q1

Dear Expert,

For OPA 2365-Q1 adopted by my customers,
The customer is requested to disclose the following contents.

①Accuracy data

【Manufacturing variation】
· Offset voltage (OFFSET VOLTAGE)
· Input bias current (INPUT BIAS CURRENT)

Regarding the above electrical characteristics, there are descriptions of Production Distribution in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 of data sheet P7,
Could you tell us about the statistics quantity (Population)?
As the number of Lots N is larger, if you have the latest data, would you like to present it?

②About definition of specification

【Rationale for specifying specs】
How do you decide on the specification values described in the data sheet?

For example,
Regarding the offset voltage, the graph of P7 Figure 3 is Max ± 80 μV,
P5 7.5 In the electrical characteristics table, Max is 230 uV.
How do you decide this stated value?

If it is difficult to disclose on E2E, I would like to exchange directly.
I am waiting for your reply.

Best,Regars.

  • Hello,

I am looking into your questions and will follow-up with more information tomorrow.

    Best regards,
  • Hi,

I am still working to get the population data but I can answer your second question in the meantime.

You can think of the plots showing an example of the measured data for a grouping of devices. The MAX specification is a guaranteed limit that we test each of the devices too. Although the graph shows a typical representation, it is possible for you to receive a device that could have a value up to the maximum listed in the spec.

    Regards,
  • Hello, Jacob-san

I'm sorry for the late reply.
Please let me ask you again about the accuracy information of OPA 2365 - Q1.

    Question1:
    · Offset voltage (OFFSET VOLTAGE)
    · Input bias current (INPUT BIAS CURRENT)
Is it possible to present the latest plot data on these specs?

    Question2:

You can think of the plots showing an example of the measured data for a grouping of devices. The MAX specification is a guaranteed limit that we test each of the devices too. Although the graph shows a typical representation, it is possible for you to receive a device that could have a value up to the maximum listed in the spec.

    Thank you for your answer.
    Is my recognition below correct?

①The value of the plot is an example of the result of the test.
②Max value of the electrical property table is the value obtained by testing.
Customers should design based on this Max value.

  • Hi,

Your understanding of the statements are correct. It is possible for the customer to receive a part that could have performance up to the maximum value, so they should design to that limit.

Do you need the data from the most recent devices or the data from the plot in the datasheet?

    Best Regards,
  • Hello Jacob-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

First of all, we will tell customers the viewpoint and reconfirm whether the latest plot data is necessary.
    Thank you for your consideration.

  • Hello Jacob-san,

Thank you for your special support.
I got a comment from Jacob-san to the customer.
    I received a new request.

■Please tell me about the standard deviation (σ), average value and N number of plot data.
■Is there plot data of input bias current (INPUT BIAS CURRENT)?
⇒Are the characteristics of the bias current in figures 5 and 6 of datasheet P7?
Can you respond to these requests?

  • Hi Fukuzawa-san,

Figures 5 and 6 show the variation of the input bias current vs temperature and common-mode. The input bias current spec has +/- 10pA maximum at room temperature and nominal common-mode.

I am working to get the statistical data for the offset and should be able to provide you the same for the bias current as well.

    Best regards,
