Looking for a Low Distortion 2. GHz Av = 12 dB RF OpAmp with a SPICE Model

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH5401, LMH3401, LMH6554

Hi there,

basically the title says it all. I am looking for a Low Distortion RF OpAmp with a Bandwidth of 2 GHz and Av = 12 dB. Something like this one from Analog - "www.analog.com/.../ad8351.html. However, I NEED! to have a SPICE Model of the OpAmp. Like seriously, why can't manufacturers provide a SPICE model for every IC they develop. You are selling these things, for **-sake! It should be included as a datasheet! Anyway, sorry for getting off track. Could you suggest an IC with these parameters and a SPICE Model?

Kind Regards,
Den

  • Hello Den,

We do not have a drop in replacement for this device. We have the LMH6554 and LMH5401 differential amplifiers which are somewhat similar. Both of these have SPICE models available. The LMH6554 is the closest in performance, but at 12dB of gain it will not have 2GHz bandwidth. The LMH5401 has much more than 2GHz of bandwidth at 12dB of gain. The LMH3401 is the same as the LMH5401, but it is fixed gain.

  • Hello Loren,

thank you for the suggestions, I will look into them and test it in my system. At least now I can do an approximation before building the prototype.

    Kind Regards,
    Den
