LMH6611: LMH6611 impedance with disable

Part Number: LMH6611

Hi Team,

I have a question about LMH6611 Vin+, Vin-, Vout impedance in disable.

From the datasheet, VIN+, VIN- impedance should be 6Mohms(typ) in disable.

How about Vout impedance?

if you have figure which shows frequency vs impedance, it would be helpful.

Thanks,

Kai

  • Hi Kai,

you should read chapter "SHUTDOWN CAPABILITY AND TURN ON/OFF BEHAVIOR" on page 21/22 of datasheet.

  • Hi Kai,

Page 21/22 only shows how to behave in shutdown mode.

What I want to know here is the impedance value of VIN+/VIN-/VOUT pins in shutdown mode.

    [Shutdown-mode]

    VIN+: should be Hi-Z, what Ω?

VIN-: should be Hi-Z, what Ω?

    VOUT+: Hi-Z, what Ω?

    Thanks,

    Kai

  • Hi Kai,

I am taking a look to see whether we have any data for the input & output impedance in shutdown mode for the LMH6611.

However, for the inputs IN+ & IN- in shutdown mode, the impedance will be dependent upon the differential voltage that is applied across the back-to-back current steering diodes as shown in Figure 67. If the differential input voltage goes beyond 2.1V in either direction, the diodes would start conducting and impedance would drop significantly to 50-ohms. Do you know whether the customer is planning to apply a differential voltage that would be greater than 2.1V in shutdown mode?

    Best Regards,
    Rohit
  • Hi Rohit,

What I  want to know is input impedance in disable under 2.1V in either direction.

Is input impedance in disable under 2.1V in either direction still 6Mohm(Datasheet RIN spec)?

    Thanks,

    Kai

  • Hi Kai,

I was not able to find any data on the input impedance and would have to probably measure it on the bench. I will be able to provide this data to you sometime early next week, given that I need to order some samples and test them out on the bench.

    Best Regards,
    Rohit
  • Hi Rohit,

Could you take data with several samples?

    Regards,
    Kai
