OPA2277UA, DRIFT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2277

Good morning

I use a OP OPA2277UA in the configuration load cell shown in Figure 3 of the datasheet. since the two OPs in the same houses, the drift is compensated?

Thanks

  • Fabio,

Both channels of OPA2277 dual op amp are laser trimmed virtually to zero but the physical stress associated with the packaging of the die causes the random shift in the input offset voltage and drift.  For that reason, there is no correlation between the two channels of the dual op amp in Vos drift - one channel may have a positive drift while second channel of the same package may have a negative drift.  In short, the probability of the same Vos drifts in both channels of a dual op amp is identical to the probability of two single op amps having the same drift.

  • Thanks for clarification and timeliness.

    Sincerely
    Fabio Nodari
