LT1013 failure mode

Hi Ti people,

I would like to know if there is a specific failure mode of the LT1013 precision amplifier when applying a voltage over the absolute maximum ratings defined in the datasheet of this component.

For example, if I use the LT1013 as a comparator, which will be the output state (+Vsat ?, -Vsat ?) when

- supply voltage Vcc+ exceeds 22V

- supply voltage Vcc- exceeds -22V

- differential input voltage exceeds +/-30V

Jib,

I don't have data on the most common failure symptoms for over voltage on VCC or VID.
Is there reason for this request?

Neither do I, so I am interested in it.

The reason could be an Electrical Overstress as described by one of your colleagues (Thomas Kuehl) and for this amplifier if it prefers +Vsat or -Vsat when submited to an EoS.

Jib,

The reason for testing with the output saturated is to maximize the voltages on the internal nodes.
Both output high and output low should be tested to test with node voltages at both extremes.
