Hello,

I have tried to convert the provided PSPICE macromodel for the OPA2140 from PSPICE to SPICE format. Specifically I need to convert the format so I can import the model into Cadence Virtuoso which only supports SPICE but not PSPICE.

I am able to convert most of the model, however there are some limit() functions used in some of the submodels that I haven't been able to convert to SPICE since the limit function is not supported by the format. Do you have a macromodel of the OPA2140 in SPICE format? If not, do you have a suggestion for a work-around for this problem?

So far I have created a simple macro-model design but it doesn't capture as many features as the Green-Lis model.

Curtis,

You can get the same thing as the LIMIT function from nested MAX and MIN functions.
Please try replacing the LIMIT statements with the following:
LIMIT(x,LL,UL) = MAX(MIN(x,UL),LL)

Hey John,

Thanks for the advice. I seem to be having other problems with the model. I'm going to try and fix them for a little while longer but may post the issue at some point here.

Does anyone have a model for the OPA2140 in SPICE format?

Hey, Any suggestions to replace the "table" function? Here's an example of where it is used in the macromodel: *E1 VOUT+ VOUT- TABLE (ABS(V(VC+,VC-))) = (0,0.2) (10,0.25) 25,0.4) (35.9,0.6) Regards, Curtis
