Halo everyone,

I already tried AMC1100 on AC sensing, and it give good sine wave.

Now, I am curious whether I can use AMC1100 in DC voltage sensing,

if can, do I have to scale the sensing range to 125mV.

Since AC sensing range is 250mV.

And I have other question in mind.

The function of R1 and R2 is to supply 2.5V to VNN? Is this really needed?

And can I know the function of C3, if I want to sense DC voltage, do I still need the C3?

Hello Tan Chin Yew,

1) Yo do not have to scale the sensing range to 125 mV, you can continue to use the 250 mV range.
2) The designers of the application report where that figure comes from (www.ti.com/.../slaa552.pdf) decided to bias VINN at mid supply. This is not mandatory, you can design a system without that bias.
3) The purpose f C3 is to keep the voltage at VINN constant.
