LMP91000 power consumption

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP91000

Hello

I'm using LMP91000 for electrochemical gas sensing.  I'm powering the LMP91000 module alone with a battery to retain the bias voltages and the configuration when the system is not powered.  The main microcontroller that communicates with the LMP91000 has a different VCC source.

My question is, are the bus lines SCL and SDA on the LMP91000 chip internally pulled up to VCC?  For some reason, when the LMP91000 is configured and operates on the battery - it seems to be drawing about 1 mA from the battery (somehow through these bus lines which inturn is connected to the uC pins).  Has anyone come across powering an I2C slave device with a different power source and saw uneven power consumption?

Thanks,

Nat
