Hi all,

I was using the passive electrode to acquire the eeg signal using ads1299. but the cable swing induces too much artefact.

can any expert tell me where to buy the active electrode, or how to design one for ads1299 using proper buffer(amplifier)?

Hello Qi,

Unfortunately we are not active electrode experts either. I am aware of research at UC San Diego where they constructed active electrodes using the LMP7702. Here is a link to the publication:

It's likely that there are more recent studies, though. Hope this helps!

Hi Qi,

Not sure if you have found a solution yet but we do have a custom active electrode design that works great with the ADS1299 that uses the INA116. Very high performance. We have paired the circuitry with both gold pins and conductive silicone material for through-hair EEG.
