[AMC1200-Q1] Why it does fix gain 8?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1200-Q1, AMC1200

Hi Team,

I'd like to know why AMC1200-Q1 fixed gain 8. do you have special reason?

Other competitor also have same fixed gain 8.

please let me the reason.

Best Regards,

Nate

  • Hi Nate,

The AMC1200 has an input voltage range of +/-250 mV, so the gain of 8 provides a +/-2 V (differential) output swing. This gives you the flexibility to use 3.3 to 5.0 V supply rail when interfacing to a stand alone ADC or to an ADC found internal to an MSP430 or C2000 controller.
